WARREN -- A jury in front of Judge Andrew Logan on Friday took slightly more than three hours before convicting Michael Burns on charges of involuntary manslaughter and attempted aggravated burglary.
He faces as much as 19 years at a sentencing that Logan scheduled for Jan. 14, 2014.
The jury found Burns not guilty of murder and a lesser charge of trespassing.
He was one of three men who tried to steal scrap at a Niles-Cortland Road home where the homeowner shot one of the men. Two women who dropped the men off were also charged in the case.
