WEST FARMINGTON - Eileen Marjorie Belden, 72, of West Farmington, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at St. Joseph Health Center.
She was born Aug. 21, 1941, the daughter of Clyde Rowland and Marjorie Hillier Rowland.
Eileen married the love of her life, Clifford Belden Sr., on Nov. 14, 1959.
She was employed at Packard Electric and retired after 33 years of service.
Eileen attended West Farmington United Methodist Church. She was the co-founder of West Farmington Ladies Auxiliary for the fire department. She was involved with the Women's Relief Corps and helped at many church dinners and at the Senior Citizens hall.
She enjoyed quilting with her sister, Lois, and loved Fox TV. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and family.
Besides her husband, Clifford, Eileen is survived by her children, Sandy (Scott) O'Brien of Southington, Sonny Belden of West Farmington and Margie (Kurt) Langreder of West Farmington; sisters, Evelyn Jackson of Indiana and Lois (John) Cashiotta of West Farmington; brothers, Ed (Betty) Rowland of West Farmington and Dave (Pat) Rowland of West Farmington; grandchildren, Nick Belden of West Farmington, Amanda Rabaduex of Baltimore, Heather Lodwick of Madison, Lindsey Belden of Niles and Chad Westfall of Orwell; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Desiree Lodwick.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at West Farmington United Methodist Church, where Pastor Jim George will officiate.
Friends and family may visit 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home and from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the West Farmington Volunteer Fire Department or West Farmington United Methodist Church in her memory.
