HOWLAND - Nick E. Pemberton, 41, of Howland Township, went home to be with the Lord this past week at his home in Howland Township.
He was born June 6, 1972, in Warren, the son of Dennis E. Pemberton and Mary Coen Hray.
Nick was a 1991 graduate of Howland High School, where he was a member of the football team and was named All Trumbull County defensive back.
After high school, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps active and reserve duty from 1991 to 1999.
Nick received his associate's degree in electronic engineering technology from YSU. He has worked for nearly 20 years for Fire Foe Alarms Corp. in Liberty as a sprinkler systems designer.
Nick was of the Catholic faith and is now walking with the angels. He enjoyed music, weightlifting and golf, and was an avid football fan.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Mary and David Hray of Howland; his father, Dennis E. Pemberton of Cortland; maternal grandmother, Jean Scott of Howland; stepbrother, David (Rochelle) Hray of Sugarland, Texas; three stepsisters, Shelly (Richard) Coss of Newton Falls, Christa (Tim) Higgins of Leavittsburg and Lisa Marie Butcher; and his aunts and uncles, Linda (Art) Biery, and their children, Tisha and Cody of Warren, Jeannie (Larry) Gampolo of Steubenville, Patrick (Tammy) Coen of Kentucky, Joseph (Diane) Coen of South Carolina and Catherine Clagett of California.
He will be missed by numerous cousins, his family and friends.
His grandparents, Carl and Mary Ann Pemberton, and Robert Coen and Leo Scott, all have preceded him in death.
Per Nick's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. Cremation will be held, and burial will be in Pine Knoll Cemetery.
Arrangements were entrusted to Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren.
