Mount Calvary Church in Youngstown has sustained damage from a Saturday morning fire.
The Youngstown Fire Department received a call just before 10 a.m. alerting them to the blaze, which spread through the rotunda or prayer tower of the church, according to battalion chief Gary DiTullio.
The condition of the rotunda floor made it a dangerous job, and four firefighters were injured while battling the blaze, he said.
"It completely consumed the rotunda, but the guys confined it to the rotunda area," he said.
Crews cleared the area around 1:30 p.m.
