WARREN - Police are investigating a Sunday night shooting in which they reported that an 18-year-old city man was wounded.
Details are sketchy, however, officers were dispatched to the area of Ward Street S.W. and Penn Avenue N.W. around 11:30 p.m. in reference to gunshots, according to a Warren police report. The report states Davone L. Owens of 1185 Oak St. S.W. was found in front of 414 Penn St. N.W. with a gunshot wound. Owens was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

The police report indicates that while at the scene of the shooting, officers arrested Derwin R. Norman, 18, of 1360 Autumn Drive N.W. He was charged with falsification. He was wanted on an arrest warrant from another case involving a failure to appear on drunk driving charge, court officials said. He is being held without bond at the Trumbull County Jail following an arraignment this morning in Warren Municipal Court.
