HIRAM - Jolene Elizabeth Fatula, 63, of Hiram, passed away Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013 at University Hospital Geauga Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 17, 1950, in Warren, the daughter of Chester J. and Kathryn Porter Smith.
She married James S. Fatula Dec. 18, 1971.
She was a graduate of Leavittsburg High School and was employed as the Executive Secretary for Engineering at Copperweld Steel for 22 years.
Jolene was a member of the American Business Women's Association, Dianthus Chapter, serving as vice president for two terms. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cross stitching, reading, boating and fishing in Canada with the Fatula family.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, James S. Fatula of Hiram, her two brothers, Randall (Sally) and Russell (Sue) Smith both of Leavittsburg, and the Fatula family. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, and her beloved dogs Max and Bear.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be held at noon on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where Pastor John Jaros and Pastor Mark Showers will officiate.
Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
