WARREN -- Students at STEAM Academy of Warren were dismissed after a pipe burst in the building.
Head of School Timothy Freeman said due to lack of water and heat in the building, students were sent home around noon.
A pipe in a downstairs room near the gymnasium burst around 9:30 a.m., and "water was coming out pretty profusely," he said. The school had to shut off the water to the building as well as the boiler.
A plumber was called and will make the repairs today. However, no damage estimate or repair cost is available, Freeman said.
Students were given lunch and then dismissed at noon.
Freeman said classes should resume Friday.
