Warren native Jason Kokrak remained in the hunt at the Sony Open for much of Sunday's final round, but a late surge by winner Jimmy Walker, paired with a few bogeys by Kokrak on the back nine, led to the John F. Kennedy graduate finishing in a tie for 20th.
With his final round of 68, Kokrak finished the tournament at 9-under par. He earned $54,818.
Kokrak began the day in 18th, but at one point had moved up to sixth place at 10-under par after a birdie on No. 10. However, two bogeys on 14 and 16 dropped Kokrak back. He finished with a birdie on No. 18 to finish with a four-day total of 271.
