WARREN - John "Jack" E. Conway, 88, passed away Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
He was born Feb. 11, 1925, in Youngstown, the son of the late Hugh and Jenny Harper Conway.
Jack was employed by Warren City Schools as an art teacher for more than 30 years. He taught art at First Street Elementary School and East Junior High.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Memories of John will be carried on by his wife, Nancy Nydegger Conway of Warren, whom he married June 15, 1963; a son, Glenn M. Conway of Warren; a son, Bruce E. Conway of Warren; and a grandchild, Kaitlin Conway of Newton Falls.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church, 256 Mahoning Ave. N.W., Warren. A memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Rusty Cowden officiating.
Military honors will be presented by the Trumbull County American Legion Honor Guard. Final committal will be in the First Presbyterian Columbarium.
His family suggests contributions be made in the form of donations to the Animal Welfare League, 545 Brunstetter Road S.W., Warren 44481.
