If our nobel peace prize-winning president starts the new war with Iran, this may help the democrats retain seats since most of the sheeple will rally around the 'Commander-in-Chief', like they did for George W. Bush immediately after starting the Iraq shock and awe campaign.

I don't think it's possible. Although many Democratic incumbent seats are up for grabs, so are many Republicans.

It would take a tidal wave of Republican support to overcome the majority, and I don't see it in any credible poll.

I'm speaking realistically here. Although I can't predict how many seats may be lost by incumbent Dems, a complete reversal would take be an epic challenge. Currently the Republicans would have to retain EVERY district they hold, plus overturn an additional democratic 75 seats. Congressmen are historically very difficult to unseat.

I guess if one watches a steady stream of Beck and Hannity, I can see why they see doom ahead for the majority party, but those guys get paid to bang the drum for the GOP.

They'll lose because of the stupidity thats been going on since they got in. I am a Democrat but I haven't voted party line in a long time because I want to see lower taxes and the IRS gone With a flat tax or fair tax that would get rid of them which is another big waste of taxpayer dollars.

The elections will be suspended after the U.S. dollar collapses, so the answer is, 'no'.
