Embattled Attorney General Marc Dann will not resign . . . today.

A spokesperson from the attorney general�s office issued a statement that says, "In response to numerous media inquiries today, the office is issuing the following statement: 'Ohio Attorney General Marc Dann has not resigned and no further announcements are planned.'

COLUMBUS -- An Ohio House lawmaker says Attorney General Marc Dann offered to resign if an investigation into his scandal-plagued office is delayed.

Rep. Robert Hagan, a Youngstown Democrat, says Dann wanted a bill allowing the state watchdog to investigate his office to take effect in 90 days.

COLUMBUS --An Ohio Senate Democratic leaders says Attorney General Marc Dann�s resignation appears imminent. Senate Minority Leader Ray Miller told The Columbus Dispatch the resignation appears forthcoming, but he did not say exactly when Dann would step down.

COLUMBUS -- State Rep. Bob Hagan, D-Youngstown, said Marc Dann will not resign today despite published reports to the contrary.

Hagan told the Tribune Chronicle this afternoon that he served as emissary between House and Senate leaders to broker a deal for Dann�s resignation.

Marc Dann is expected to announce his resignation as Ohio Attorney General today, according to published reports.

The announcement would come the same day House Democrats - who with Republicans have been pressuring Dann to step down - filed articles of impeachment seeking his removal.
